1.Colours of Christmas 2015

Precious Metallics have been one of the biggest trends throughout 2015  and this is no different for Christmas decorating! For the perfect look focus on these two main shades: . “Blanched Coppers” a softer copper tone compared to what we’ve been seeing in homewares. This variant does not come as a suprise as the copper trend has been really huge these last 2 years. . Gold in a rich yellow tone. The two metallic options can be easily paired with the classic go to colour: the luxurious black. The second biggest colour palette trending this Christmas is all about pastels in their most synthetic shades to recreate a retro and nostalgic atmosphere.

2.The Scandinavian Influence scandi

The Nordic Style has taken the world by storm this year, and has become one of the biggest interiors trends around the globe. We will see this style represented through a heavy influence on this season’s festive accessories, designs and shapes. Fabric will be printed with winter landscapes, animals and details such as forest effects, wolves, and of course reindeer… The Stag will once again reign supreme as one of the most represented animals this Christmas. House shapes are also very present this Winter, especially in the form of candle holders and tree pendants.

3.Handcrafted & Homemade decorative accessories craft

The craft trend is reaching high levels of popularity in 2015. This year, flat-trees will populate living rooms – originality is the key and let’s be honest, how perfect is this trend for when the space is a little tight? The handcrafted look is also popular in Christmas decorations to give a more modern twist to the tree and the table. Add your last creative touch by reinventing the traditional advent calendar by turning it into an original pieces to fill up with your favourite treats, helping you to stay patient until Santa arrives!

4. Biblical inspiration nativity

Displaying a Nativity scene in the home is a loved Christmas tradition for many families. This year the ritual will be invigorated with a contemporary design:  say hello to super cute character & minimalist figurines! The second bold detail of this trend? The angel wings displayed from the table to the ceiling.

5. The frozen paradise frozen

Last but not least, wildlife has a strong influence on Christmas decorating themes this year. A lot of frosted spring items have been designed to decorate tables and trees (nature scenes, fruits, forest animals, blooming flowers and so on…). The colour palette for this trend is characterised by a mix of shiny whites and deep greens. Reinforcing the Spring spirit in Winter, “birds of paradise” are also following on from the strong exotic trend which has been continuously popular in recent years.
