Bow Accents
Decorating with bows isn’t something entirely new, but over the last year alone the popularity of this particular detail has completely snowballed across fashion and decor. We would have seen it gaining traction around autumn last year, and that momentum has continued well into 2024 so we see it playing a major role once again for this year’s festive season (but likely on a bigger scale).
Scroogecore
When people think of Christmas, they automatically imagine the typical “holly jolly” reds, greens, glitters and golds. The “Scroogecore” trend aims to challenge tradition to bring a unique twist to holiday celebrations. This particular look is brought to life through the focus on deep, moody hues like charcoal greys, classic blacks, and deep dark greens as well as elements of tongue-in-cheek humour.
Plum & Pine
This trend combines regal, deep plum purples with the timeless, rich shades of green that play such a huge role in our festive decor year after year, creating a stunning and sophisticated colour palette for Christmas 2024. Don’t be afraid to experiment with textures to elevate the look and add depth to your imagery – velvet plum pillows, satin green tablecloths, and glass ornaments can all be simple yet super impactful additions to take the look to a whole new level.
Western Influences
This is one theme that has been gaining traction over the past year, with cowboy-inspired fashion and decor making a significant comeback. It’s a trend that encompasses a variety of gift ideas, from fashion items and accessories to home decor and toys, all infused with western flair. This can be adopted in a very traditional sense or with products that offer a more playful twist.
