Top 5 Interior Trends for 2015

blog

We are well and truly into the new year now (how is it almost February already?!), so we thought it was time to put together some of the trends we think you will be seeing a lot of this year.

Deep Greek Blue

This hue has been a popular one for the last few years – and is still going strong in 2015. A deep, rich colour, bold in its ability to attract attention – but dark enough to not overtake any kind of room. Paired with white, it provides a fresh kick, or with dark greys for a moody vibe, it is surprisingly versatile despite its intensity. Image: Greg Natale

Grey

Grey. Is. Huge. It is the new neutral, fast overtaking beige and cream as the calming colour of choice. Mixing varying degrees of the shade is the styling choice of many – incorporating it with darker charcoal hues and white grey walls or ceilings. Image: Interior Idea

Vintage Tubs

An increasing amount of time and effort is now spent on the bathroom – making it a room of luxury and stylistically just as important as the living or bedroom. Quirky and vintage tubs are the swimming pools of choice! Image: Digs Digs

Palm Springs

The fashion runways have been rife with 60’s and 70’s inspiration of late – and this has spread into the interiors sector as well – specifically the palm springs persuasion, featuring bright colours and patterns, with a Tropicana influence – brass an golds thrown about as well as indoor plants and statement armchairs. Image: Greg Natale

Mixed Metals

Brass, gold, rose gold, silver, metallic – any and all of them are the go for 2015 – whether saturating a room with one kind – or bombarding it with all of them. Image: Architectural Digest
